PASTA! Bowtie, cavatappi, spaghetti, ziti, fettucine, linguine…Even though pasta is delicious with nothing but olive oil, using sauces, veggies and salt and pepper is a way to dress it up! Potatoes, pesto, and green beans will instantly make your pasta more sophisticated!
2 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon salt, plus more for seasoning
8 ounces cavatappi
8 ounces green beans, drained
1/2 cup pesto
First, begin by chopping the potatoes into small cubes. In a pot of water, bring potatoes to a boil. Then, add salt and pasta. Boil for a few minutes more. Next, add green beans. Return to a boil for about 6 minutes. Drain pasta and mix with pesto. Sprinkle with salt and pepper as desired.
